Frequently asked questions
Answers about Ambera.
Straightforward answers about getting started, staying connected, and managing your account.
Your questions, answered.
What is the Learning Center?
The Learning Center brings courses, lessons, and your personal progress into your Ambera account. Available courses follow your account role. There is no separate course checkout; professional workspace access follows your account and plan. Birth Library audio and the Help Center’s product guides are separate.
Who is Ambera for?
Ambera is for people experiencing pregnancy, birth, and ongoing care, and the doulas, midwives, and providers supporting them. Organizations can contact Ambera about their needs.
Do I need a care professional to use Ambera?
No. Your free personal account can be used for your own tools and records. A professional connection is optional.
Is the family account free?
Yes. The personal account is free. Professionals pay for their active-client capacity; a person receiving care does not buy that professional’s plan. Each person should use their own account.
How do professional plans work?
Plans are based on the professional’s role and active linked-client capacity. Monthly and annual offers are shown on the professional pricing page. Review the final price and terms in the purchase channel before subscribing.
Which devices can I use?
The web application is accessible through a browser. The iPhone app is currently invitation-only through TestFlight, without a public App Store download. Android is coming soon. See devices and access.
Can a hospital or health plan use Ambera?
Start with a demo request to discuss population, roles, scope, and privacy requirements. A standard professional plan does not include an institutional agreement or systems integration.
Is my journal private?
Personal journal entries can be private or explicitly shared. Daily check-ins are shared care information. Review the audience shown in the app rather than assuming all entries have the same visibility.
How does Ambera handle privacy?
Use the Privacy Center to understand your information, sharing choices, account controls, and privacy requests. The Privacy Policy describes information handling across Ambera.
Can I use Ambera during labor?
The contraction timer and Labor Circle can help record timing and coordinate permitted status sharing. They do not provide clinical monitoring, diagnosis, or emergency response. Keep your agreed direct-contact plan in place.
Does Ambera replace my care professional?
No. Ambera is an organizational and communication companion. For advice or a health concern, contact your care professional; for an emergency, contact local emergency services.
Where is Ambera available?
The website and web application can be opened online. App distribution, payment options, and legal availability can vary by location. Contact support before relying on availability for an organizational program outside your current service region.
How do I delete my account?
Open Account settings in Ambera or contact support. Scheduling deletion, ending a relationship, and canceling a subscription are separate actions. Read account deletion information before continuing.
How do I reach support?
Visit the Help Center or email support@amberahealth.com. Do not send medical records, passwords, or another person’s information.
